Biography

Matthew L. Seror is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group in Los Angeles. Mr. Seror's practice includes all aspects of commercial and real estate litigation, with particular emphasis on receiverships, complex commercial litigation and intellectual property litigation (including copyright, trademark and patent matters). Mr. Seror frequently represents financial institutions, small to large companies, Court-appointed receivers and other fiduciaries in a variety of litigation matters. His extensive experience includes representing clients in connection with contractual disputes, partnership disputes, secured transactions, infringement actions, and real estate litigation. Additionally, he regularly represents clients in the apparel industry with regard to licensing and other intellectual property matters. Mr. Seror frequently represents his clients in both state and federal courts across the United States, as well as in mediation and arbitration proceedings.

Mr. Seror is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the California Receiver's Forum and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. Mr. Seror has been selected as a Southern California Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2009 and 2010.

Representative Matters

Representation of Court appointed receiver charged with the completion, marketing and sale of over twenty‐eight residential communities located across the western United States;

Successful defense of national retailer in copyright infringement action;

Representation of lenders and special servicers in connection with foreclosure actions and related real estate litigation matters

Mr. Seror earned his J.D. at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law in 2004. He received his B.A. in Political Science and Psychology at the University of Southern California in 2001.
