Alexandra Pakzad is a member of Buchalter’s Intellectual Property, Corporate, and Franchise practice groups, and Special Counsel in the Firm’s Sacramento and Los Angeles offices. Ms. Pakzad represents clients in connection with a variety of intellectual property related transactions, including the creation, protection, licensing and transfer of IP assets, in addition to conducting and managing intellectual property due diligence for complex M&A deals. Ms. Pakzad also regularly assists businesses ranging from closely held start-ups to multi-national franchisors with the organization, formation and disposition of business entities, and has extensive experience negotiating and structuring corporate transactions in a wide variety of industries ranging from entertainment to equine.

Ms. Pakzad’s law practice is well-informed by her complementary business background.  A principal and key advisor to one of the world’s most exclusive and renowned luxury brands, Ms. Pakzad oversaw the company’s strategic initiatives and global brand positioning as its former head of strategy. Her business acumen has been recognized in the media, including by Prospetere Magazine in a cover story on 2018’s Leading Entrepreneurial Businesswomen.

Ms. Pakzad is a graduate of the UCLA School of Law. Prior to law school, she obtained a Master of Science, with merit, from the London School of Economics.  She received her Bachelor of Arts, magna cum laude, from Mount St. Mary’s College, and studied abroad at the University of Hong Kong, and The Graduate Institute of International Studies in Geneva, Switzerland.
