
Jack Darrington represents clients dealing with all types of commercial disputes, including major bet-the-company lawsuits. He has proved effective in pre-litigation negotiations, all the way through trial and on appeal. Jack’s representation includes disputes dealing with trade secrets, real property, financial services, construction defects, professional liability, and fiduciary duties. Jack was raised on a small farm in southern Idaho, and maintains strong connections to the agricultural community.
While in law school, Jack interned for Judge Ryan Nelson of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Prior to law school, Jack interned for the Utah State Senate and managed a congressional campaign in Utah.

- Preserved real-estate developer’s $2,000,000 interest in a multi-family property, in addition to recovery of attorneys’ fees and litigation costs, in a three-day arbitration.
- Successful on behalf of insurance brokerage against insurer in a professional liability coverage dispute.
- Alps Prop. & Cas. Ins. Co. v. Fillmore Spencer LLC, No. 2:22-CV-276-DAK-JCB, 2023 WL 3996808 (D. Utah June 14, 2023).
- Secured full payment for subcontractor in arbitration, in addition to attorneys fees and costs.
Jack earned his J.D. from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University, where he served as a Lead Articles Editor on the BYU Law Review and was a member of the Trial Advocacy Team. He earned his B.S. in Economics and Philosophy, with a minor in Political Science, from Utah State University, where he was a Huntsman Scholar.
