Neusha “Naz” Etemad is an attorney at Buchalter’s San Diego office and a member of the Litigation practice group. Ms. Etemad specializes in product liability, real estate, and commercial litigation matters in state and federal court. She represents clients in catastrophic injury and mass tort litigation matters involving electronic vehicles, pharmaceuticals, toxic tort and exposure claims, technology platforms, and consumer products. Ms. Etemad has represented multiple Fortune 500 companies and helps technology innovators navigate high-stakes litigation in evolving areas of the law.

Ms. Etemad is strategic in pursuing discovery, which has led to numerous successful discovery and dispositive motions. She has briefed a variety of complex legal issues and has extensive experience working with technical, liability, and damages experts. Ms. Etemad has prepared multiple cases for trial, established favorable precedents in the technology landscape, and also negotiated favorable settlements after intensive law and motion.

Ms. Etemad’s robust litigation experience guides her critical lens in advising clients on compliance with local, state, and federal statutory and regulatory schemes during all phases of the product cycle. She counsels clients across various industries on product development, risk assessments, product labeling, and risk mitigation strategies to avoid and defeat product liability claims. She has also assisted with due diligence by helping clients avoid product liability issues through their transactions.

Ms. Etemad also practices in Buchalter’s Real Estate group and represents individual and business clients in disputes involving commercial leases, brokerage agreements, housing discrimination, and unfair competition.

Ms. Etemad is involved in the San Diego Community. She is on the Board of Directors of the Iranian American Bar Association, is a member of the Association of Business Trial Lawyers, and volunteers with the San Diego Volunteer Lawyers Program and Legal Aid Society of San Diego.

Ms. Etemad earned her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law. She was a legal writing fellow and received the highest honors in advanced appellate advocacy and legal research, writing, and advocacy. She earned her B.A. in English and Spanish from the University of California, Davis, summa cum laude.
