Ross Garrett is an attorney in the firm’s White Collar & Investigations practice group. His practice focuses on government investigations, white-collar defense, and complex business and commercial litigation. Before joining Buchalter, Mr. Garrett practiced at an international law firm where he represented several Fortune 500 companies.

 

Representative white collar matters include the following:

  • Defended telecom startup in a RICO and fraud lawsuit brought by major international telecom provider
  • Defended the former CEO of a leading international environmental services company in a DOJ investigation, involving allegations of fraud and FCPA violations
  • Defended businesses and individuals under criminal and civil investigation for PPP and Economic Injury Disaster Loans
  • Defended the CEO of a national diagnostic laboratory in a DOJ investigation, involving allegations of more than $150 million in kickbacks and fraudulent claims
  • Defended nationwide energy company in a California civil enforcement action, involving allegations of fraudulent and unlawful business practices
  • Defended nationwide optical retail chain in a California criminal enforcement action, involving allegations of unlawful business practices

Mr. Garrett obtained his J.D., cum laude, from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor for the Pepperdine Law Review. He also holds a B.A. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Vanguard University of Southern California.

During law school, Mr. Garrett interned for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission in Washington, D.C., as well as the Federal Trade Commission in Los Angeles.
