Scott G. Warner is a member of the Firm’s Intellectual Property practice group, working with start-ups, non-profits and public companies. Mr. Warner helps clients register, protect or sell their intellectual property, utilizing a combination of business savvy, domain expertise, creative thinking and more than 20 years of experience in the technology sector to address his client’s needs. Additionally, he provides practical guidance to clients in all aspects of their intellectual property rights and business transactions, including copyright, trademark, trade secret, licensing and distribution, joint ventures, employment and non-competition, publishing, e-commerce, privacy and data security, web hosting, content development and clearance, and domain disputes.

Mr. Warner is frequent speaker and lecturer on intellectual property, high technology, technology transfer, and arts and entertainment law issues. Mr. Warner is involved with numerous organizations that promote the growth of technology and the arts, including the Washington Technology Industry Association, International Technology Law Association, International Trademark Association (INTA), and Washington Lawyers for the Arts.

Mr. Warner is a recognized practitioner in Chambers USA, an IP “Super Lawyer” in Washington, and has been named as one of “Washington’s Most Amazing Lawyers” by Washington CEO Magazine.

Mr. Warner received his LL.M. in Law and Marine Affairs from the University of Washington School of Law in 1983 and earned his J.D. from Antioch University, School of Law in 1982.  He received his B.S., in Environment Planning and Management, from the University of California, Davis.
