Sharon Morrissey’s experience covers all aspects of finance and real estate transactions, in particular representing institutional lenders and borrowers in development, construction, and permanent loans for all asset types. In her equity practice, she represents institutional investors in industrial, office, retail, and multifamily acquisitions, dispositions, and development. She also represents lenders and owners in leasing and other real property issues. Sharon’s corporate finance practice includes asset-based lending, secured and unsecured credit facilities, and loan securitizations. She represents banks, institutional investors and other financial entities, including community development financial institutions, in connection with the purchase and securitization of, and lending secured by, affordable housing loans.  Her workout experience includes loan modifications, forbearance agreements, and foreclosures relating to troubled projects and REO dispositions.

Ms. Morrissey has extensive experience representing servicers and special servicers in collateral mortgage obligation and collateral loan obligation matters.  Her workout experience includes equity transfers, loan assumptions, loan modifications, forbearance agreements, receiverships, and foreclosures.

Ms. Morrissey is a member of the Firm’s Equine Law Group and has experience in various areas of the equine industry. Her clients include horse owners, property owners, riders, trainers, and breeders.  She has handled the acquisition, development, leasing, and disposition of equestrian properties; and has drafted purchase agreements, co-ownership and joint venture agreements, sponsorships, equine leases, boarding agreements, training agreements, and myriad other agreements related to the equine world.

Ms. Morrissey is a fellow of the American College of Investment Counsel and lectures regularly on financing issues. She also is a member of the San Francisco Bank Attorneys Association, California Real Estate Women, the Real Estate Round Table, the California Bankers Association, and the Real Property Section of the State Bar of California. She is AV Preeminent rated by Martindale Hubbell and has been recognized by The American Lawyer magazine as a Top Rated Lawyer in the area of Bank & Finance in 2013 and 2014.

Ms. Morrissey received her B.A. in Psychology, cum laude, from Rosemont College. She earned her J.D. with honors from University of San Francisco School of Law. She also attended an LL.M. program at New York University School of Law.
