Stephanie Thompson is a member of Buchalter’s Litigation and Health Care Practice Groups in the Los Angeles Office. Ms. Thompson represents healthcare providers, including health systems, hospitals, physician groups, and individuals, in complex commercial litigation and government investigations.

Ms Thompson is experienced in representing providers in large-scale reimbursement disputes against managed care organizations and health insurers. Ms. Thompson also has significant experience representing individuals and providers in matters related to Medicare and state healthcare exclusions.

In addition to her litigation work, Ms. Thompson advises clients on a wide range of regulatory and compliance issues, helping them navigate the complex landscape of healthcare laws and regulations.

Prior to joining Buchalter, Ms. Thompson clerked for the Honorable Robert A. Molloy at the District Court of the United States Virgin Islands.

Ms. Thompson holds a J.D. from Washington University School of Law and was an Associate Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy. Additionally, she earned her M.S. in Bioethics from Columbia University and a B.A. in Biology from Amherst College.

Ms. Thompson completed a clerkship for The Honorable Robert A. Molloy of the District Court of the United States Virgin Islands from 2021-2023.
