Mr. Miller represents restaurants, manufacturers, national and local retailers, direct sales companies, national banks, and finance companies in a diverse range of complex litigation issues in the following areas:
- Direct Sales: Mr. Miller assists direct sales companies in a broad range of litigation and compliance efforts in order to help those companies adapt to the ever-changing regulatory and legal environment. He has handled a myriad of disputes pertaining to multilevel marketing and the direct sales industry, including litigation brought by disgruntled distributors and consumers, and class action lawsuits.
- ADA Litigation and Counseling: Mr. Miller defends businesses and property owners against Americans with Disabilities Act, Disabled Persons Act, and Unruh Civil Rights Act claims. Mr. Miller also counsels property owners and businesses regarding their obligations under the ADA and equivalent state access laws including providing accessible goods, services and websites.
- Real Estate: Mr. Miller has represented individuals, investors, lessors and property owners on a broad variety of legal issues, including, sales, leasing and partnership disputes.
- Receiverships: Mr. Miller has obtained receivers on behalf of banks and creditors, represented receivers in the execution of their duties, as well as businesses placed in receivership. He also has experience with other pre-judgment remedies.
- Class Actions: Mr. Miller has handled numerous class actions that involved, among other areas of law: wage hour disputes, Business & Professions Code §17200, and Title III of the ADA.
- Labor and Employment: Mr. Miller has handled a wide variety of labor and employment disputes including discrimination, harassment, wage and hour, disability, unfair competition and PAGA claims. In addition to representing employers in litigation, Mr. Miller also provides counsel to California employers in connection with their day-to-day operations.
- Health Care Law: Mr. Miller has assisted Hospitals in reimbursement disputes.
