Zachary Fountas is an attorney in the Los Angeles office of Buchalter, and is a member of the Firm’s Corporate Practice Group. He has represented clients from a wide array of industries and he counsels companies at every stage of the business life-cycle, from entity formation and general corporate matters, mergers and acquisitions, and SEC reporting, compliance and corporate governance, including initial public offerings.

  • Represented Endeavour Capital and the other equity holders of Johnny Was in the sale of Johnny Was to Oxford Industries, a major portfolio company with notable brands such as Tommy Bahama and Lilly Pulitzer.
  • The acquired company in a $52.5 million all-stock merger with a leading e-commerce apparel brand.
  • The acquired company in a $78 million sale to a leading PCI payment processor in the medical and dental industries.
  • Re-Think It, a manufacturer and seller of recycled eating utensils and food storage accessories sold in Target, Amazon and Walmart, in its sale to Monolith Brands.

Mr. Fountas received his J.D., cum laude, from Boston College Law School. While in law school, he worked as a student attorney in the Boston College Law School Legal Services Lab where he counseled entrepreneurs and start-up companies on legal matters. In addition, he worked as a legal extern for the Massachusetts Securities Division. He earned dual B.A.s in Psychology and History from University of California, Irvine.
