Buchalter significantly outpaced the average growth rate of ranked firms included in the Law360 “400 Largest Law Firms” survey reportedly growing 13.2 percent from last year and advancing 20 spots (to be ranked the 203rd largest firm). Law360 specifically noted that Buchalter has been busy bolstering existing capabilities like litigation and real estate in addition to adding a Sacramento office and a new Los Angeles-based practice serving Japanese clients.
The Firm was also featured in Law360’s article, “The Firms That Grew Fastest Without Merging.” On the firm’s growth and recruiting efforts, Buchalter was mentioned as a firm that spends significant time and recruiting resources to vet and persuade candidates. “It takes a lot more time, it’s a lot more work, and it’s significantly harder to do, but we think the results and the numbers and the way it shakes out is a superior way to build a firm if you really care about each hire,” Adam Bass, Buchalter’s CEO, said.
Law360 surveyed U.S. law firms with a U.S. component, on domestic attorney and partner headcount information as of Dec. 31, 2016.
