Following a recent two-day bench trial, the court ruled in complete favor of Buchalter’s client, an apparel manufacturer, and held that Plaintiff had failed to establish it had a valid copyright registration. Plaintiff, Universal Dyeing & Printing, alleged claims for willful copyright infringement relating to a textile design. The result represents a complete victory for our client, who is now seeking an award of attorneys’ fees and costs incurred in the successful defense of the case.
Buchalter’s team was led by Shareholder Matthew L. Seror.
