July 27 2021. Buchalter is pleased to announce the addition of Shareholder David Balfour, and welcome him to the Firm’s San Diego office as a member of the Health Care practice group.
Balfour brings over two decades of experience , representing clients in the health care sector on a wide range of issues including medical staff peer review proceedings, licensing proceedings, writ proceedings, State and Federal Court civil litigation, and related appellate proceedings. He represents hospitals, health systems, medical staff, medical groups, and individual health care providers regarding litigation risks and best practices to avoid litigation exposure.

Balfour has represented numerous health care and ancillary care professionals before the various licensing boards of the State of California, including the Medical Board of California, the Board of Psychology, Board of Behavioral Sciences, Dental Board, Board of Registered Nursing, Pharmacy Board, and others. He has also represented physicians in connection with delistment proceedings by health insurers.
