Buchalter defended USA Football against a putative class action lawsuit brought in federal court in Los Angeles alleging claims for negligence, fraud, intentional misrepresentation, unfair business practices, deceptive advertising, and related claims arising from allegations that USA Football and other defendants failed to adequately protect their children from head injuries during youth tackle football practices and games.
In response, Buchalter filed a successful motion to dismiss Plaintiff’s allegations against USA Football. As a result, Plaintiffs filed an amended complaint against the other defendants named in their action, but dropped all claims against USA Football.
