The Buchalter team of Doug Straus and Tiffany Ng obtained a $2.15 million attorneys’ fee award on behalf of their clients this month in Solano County Superior Court. This award comes in addition to the tens of millions of dollars in equitable relief and damages awarded Buchalter’s clients after the original successful trial handled by Straus and Matt Covington. The underlying dispute concerned ownership and financial obligations with respect to real estate development companies which are projected to generate a quarter billion dollars in revenue. At trial, Buchalter’s clients prevailed on every major issue and Straus and Covington obtained a finding that there was clear and convincing evidence that fraud had been committed by the adverse parties.
