The final Moffat County Commissioners meeting of 2023 was held on Tuesday and marked a crucial step for the city and county in their continued efforts to navigate Tri-State’s looming closure of Craig Station.
The session saw Moffat County Natural Resources Director Jeff Comstock and Craig Mayor Chris Nichols present a hiring recommendation for joint legal representation, following a call for bids initiated on Dec. 1.
Of the two bids received, a joint interviewing team elected to recommend Cunilio Consulting and Laura Chartrand for the pivotal role of representing the city and county’s collaborative interests.
