This session will involve a panel discussion with health care attorneys where attendees will engage in a question and answer session. Attendees will be able to get answers to common legal questions in the urgent care industry in areas such as billing and compliance, contracting with payers, corporate structuring, clinician compensation agreements, wage/hour and other employment and HR issues, as well as self-referral and kickback issues.
Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the most common practical legal issues affecting urgent care managers and operations
- Identify issues in urgent care operations that may raise liability concerns
- Analyze common fact patterns related to billing and compliance, contracting with payers, corporate structuring, clinician compensation agreements, wage/hour and other employment and HR issues, as well as self-referral and kickback issues
- Determine when urgent care managers need to seek legal help, and when issues can be handled in-house
- Integrate other participants’ experiences into the way that their own management and operations
